I was contacted in 2011 by a friend of the man holding the red flowers in the photo, whose sister had seen this image exhibited in Liverpool. His name was Andrew Gibson. His friend told me he brought the flowers to pretend to the police he was selling them so that he wouldn't attract their attention. He said that Andrew passed away in October 2011.
